WE CARE ALL - SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT BY BARUT HOTELS

Barut Hotels has gathered long-running environmental projects under a single roof by the We Care All Environmental Awareness Project that was launched in 2019. Its initiatives in this field have brought many achievements. Barut Hotels has been a long supporter of the excavation works in the ancient city of Side, where the brand was born. The group serves as the main sponsor of the excavation works.


For example, Lara Barut Collection, the luxury hotel located in the Turkish Riviera, has been granted the Sustainable Tourism Certificate recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the leading environment and sustainability platform in the world, with an outstanding achievement.
Lara Barut Collection has already satisfied the criteria for sustainable management and contribution to social, cultural and environmental life, which had to be completed by 2030 as per the agreement signed between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and GSTC.  
In addition, Lara Barut Collection plays a role in the fight against the climate crisis and the unconscious consumption of natural and underground resources as part of the We Care All project.


Fully powered by green energy to reduce its carbon footprint and promote the use of renewable energy, Lara Barut Collection also stands out for being the first hotel in the Mediterranean region to obtain the Green Energy Certificate — together with Acanthus Cennet Barut Collection, affiliated to the same group.,


The Caretta Caretta, treatment expense of which was covered by Lara Barut Collection, was helped to the sea from the beach of hotel in July 2022. Having been tracked via a satellite tracking device, the Caretta Caretta is currently around Egypt. Tirmis A'la Carte Restaurant also serves within Lara Barut Collection. The restaurant, named after a kind of salubrious legume unique to Antalya, offers its guests not only the delicacies unique to Antalya such as hibes, pumpkin dessert with tahini, meatball skewers and piyaz with tahini, but also delicacies that are known only by the local people and that have not been popularized in the city yet. Natural products purchased from local producers in Antalya are used in all the dishes prepared in the restaurant, which introduces its Turkish and Antalya identity to its guests coming from various countries.
